Katie’s Harbor Springs senior portraits were photographed on a beautiful summer day! Michigan is a wonderful place to be year round but we typically find that many like to have their portraits taken during the summer and fall months.
Katie’s family has owned a cottage in Northern Michigan for four generations. She knew right away that she wanted to capture her senior portraits in this special location! We started the session at the family cottage which offered beautiful landscaping. The backlit trees glowed in the background while Katie stood in the green ferns. We then walked over to the flower garden with pops of color with red phlox, orange dallies, and purple Russian sage.
Katie wanted to take very colorful, vibrant pictures that showcase Northern Michigan’s character. After were finished at the cottage we went to the beach along the Little Traverse Bay that is nearby. I love incorporating the beach into our sessions! Lastly, we ended the session at the Harbor Springs Marina. Katie had a fun blue striped outfit that fit in well with the nautical theme.
Katie’s outgoing and fun personality shined throughout her Senior Portrait session and I am so happy that I could capture this exciting time!
