Clare and Jake’s Fountain Point Resort Wedding Photography on Lake Leelanau was a dream day!

With Clare being a long-time event coordinator herself, I couldn’t wait to see the magic that she had in store for her own big day! Knowing that no detail was going to be left behind I was excited to photograph the day!

Fountain Point Resort is a unique wedding venue offering guests to stay for an entire weekend if they wish! It has enough space for ceremony and reception, a historic hotel bed & breakfast, and 1-7 bedroom cottages. The atmosphere and location were key for what Clare and Jake wanted for their wedding!

Clare and Jake got ready and put on their final details before their much-anticipated ceremony. At St Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Lake Leelanau, they said their I do’s! Lake Leelanau is such a charming little town in the heart of the Leelanau Peninsula.

With twinkle lights strung and the champagne popped guests found their seats for speeches and toasts to begin! The heartfelt words said by friends and family had everyone in laughing and in tears. It was easy to see how loved this couple was.

As the sun was setting the couple made their way to center stage for their first dances. I know it can be dangerous to not have a tent but wow, what a cool scene! I am so happy that the weather cooperated for the day! With the sun fading quickly behind the hills Clare & Jake soaked in the magical day by the water as we took some beautiful portraits.

This wonderful place created an opportunity to gather their families and friends together for the weekend, not just one evening. I am certain that everyone had a great time in Northern Michigan!
