This stunning Traverse City Maternity Photography session was perfectly timed with the best parts of spring! The flowers, the gorgeous sunlight, and beautiful couple made for the dreamiest and enchanting of photographs!

It was an honor to document this special time in Maxine and Jacob’s lives! For their session, we explored Hickory Meadows and discovered the most beautiful locations. There were hardwood forests floors covered in Lily of the Valley and fields of Forget Me Not wildflowers. We think anyone would agree that Maxine’s beauty surpassed them all!

It was an honor to document this time in their lives so they’ll be able to remember this tranquil spring evening forever!

Charming Old Art Building Leland Wedding | Lauren & James

Lauren & James’s charming Old Art Building wedding in Leland was the perfect summer celebration! This relaxed wedding allowed The Weber Photographers’ Associate Photographer Megan Newman to capture all the beautiful moments that the couple will no-doubt cherish forever.

The two got ready for the day at Lauren’s parent’s home which sits high above Lake Michigan. This sunny summer day allowed for views of Lake Michigan and its vibrant turquoise waters at its finest!

Lauren carried those Leland blues into there wedding invitations and she even had baby blue suede heels! She completed her ensemble with a bouquet filled with white roses, peonies, and green foliage. James wore a classic blue suit and a white rose boutonniere. All of the bridesmaids dresses were also different shades of blue to again reflect the Lake.

Lauren & James were wed in downtown Leland at the Old Art Building (A.K.A. the Leelanau Community Cultural Center). Their ceremony was held on the lawn where they were surrounded by friends, family and many ancient trees.

The reception to follow did not disappoint either. Dinner was held outside under a gorgeously appointed sailcloth tent while dessert and dancing were held inside the Old Art building itself. Towards the end of the evening the couple took a sunset stroll on Van’s Beach resulting in some of our favorite images of the day. We all watched as the sky morphed through all of the pastel colors one can imagine. It went from orange to peach to pink to the deepest blood orange as the sun dipped below the horizon to signify the end of an incredible wedding day.

Traverse City Michigan Engagement Photography | Lauren & Luke

Lauren & Luke’s Traverse City Michigan Engagement Photography was on a beautiful, sunny evening. Downtown Traverse City is in a great location right across from Grand Traverse Bay and offers amazing shopping, food, and drinks! In the summer the town is buzzing with festivals, tourists, and locals. Some of the biggest events of the summer are the National Cherry Festival and the Film Festival!

We started out Lauren & Luke’s session by exploring areas around The Village at Grand Traverse Commons, if you haven’t been to this area, it’s worth checking out! The buildings in this area were once the Traverse City State Hospital and have been restored over the years. The area now offers many restaurants, shops, tours, and the most amazing hiking trails in the woods!

We walked down some of the trails which offered amazing lighting to capture some very dreamy images. Even though this location was right in town it felt as if we were out in the middle of the woods!

Lauren & Luke love the water so our next stop lead us to the Duncan L Clinch Marina in Downtown Traverse City. Lauren & Luke’s nautical outfits were perfectly coordinated with the backdrop of the Marina and Grand Traverse Bay! The neutral, light colors allowed the beauty of the background to really shine through.

While the sun was setting we decided to walk out to the end of the pier to utilize the large rocks all around. While taking in the beauty surrounding us a sailboat cruised towards the marina before nightfall. With some good timing, we were able to capture a few final images before the sunset!
