Katie & Ryan’s Lake Leelanau Wedding at the historical Fountain Point Resort was full of special moments, pops of color, waterfront festivities, a gorgeous sunset, and of course a dance party to conclude the evening!

Katie and Ryan chose to work with Sincerely Ginger Weddings and Events who achieved their Lake Leelanau Wedding design objective in every way. The wedding planning team created a celebration that fits this cute couple in the most precise and proper fashion. No detail was overlooked and no compromises were made when producing the day of Katie and Ryan’s dreams.

Katie wore an elegant yet uncomplicated BHLDN wedding dress while holding a beautiful bouquet designed by Sweetwater floral. The colors of the zinnias, roses, goldenrod, and queen of the alps made a beautiful combination that harmonized with the colors found on the grounds of the historic family resort!

They shared a tender moment on the veranda where they were able to see each other prior to the ceremony. It was here that they exchanged private letters in an intimate setting before their guests arrived for the ceremony.

Fountain Point Resort made for the perfect wedding venue. It’s a historic family resort where for the last 129 years people have been escaping for the peace and tranquillity that this property bestows upon anyone who has the good fortune of a stay. It was under an ancient Maple Tree on the grounds where Katie and Ryan said their vows and committed to a lifetime with each other while their closest friends and family bore witness.

Crystal Lake Family Portraits | Dwyer Family

These Crystal Lake Family Portraits took place this past July in some of our favorite locations to photograph!

Crystal Lake is a beautiful inland lake located just South of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and just a short drive from Downtown Frankfort. After getting some picturesque images on the beautiful lake we headed over to the historical Point Betsie Lighthouse. Often times there are too many gorgeous northern michigan scenes to choose from. It’s a good problem to have!

Inn at Bay Harbor Wedding Photography | Alison & Eric

I was so excited about Alison & Eric’s Inn at Bay Harbor Wedding Photography! The day was inspired by the concept of bringing the West Coast to Northern Michigan. The design of the wedding included rattan accents, patio lights, and hues of blue to complement the water & scenery. I loved the tongue-in-cheek papery detail with sayings that played to their humor and fun-loving view on life.

Every detail and element of their wedding was planned out and perfectly executed by the Tableau Events team. The visual styling contributed to how people interacted. From the raw bar to champagne & tequila display, the guest’s food and drink was the facilitator to great conversation and meaningful connections.

Their wedding day was a warm, slightly-overcast August day (the perfect conditions for a wedding in August). It’s no secret that the weather in Northern Michigan changes moment by moment. There was no surprise that the skies parted perfectly at just the right time to provide the most gorgeous sunset!

From Alison & Eric:

“We love our love story, we love our families, we love our friends who have now become our family. I wanted this day to be about all of that. Life is hard sometimes and this is a moment we want to remember. Being around all the people we love and sharing dinner, our story, and celebrating such a special moment together. That’s why we love the thought of a large dinner party! We want stories being shared & laughed at over wine and dinner and then a night of smiles and dancing.”

“This is why we love the idea of the documentary style of photography to capture the moments not everyone sees. Where you can really see the happiness in a smile or the unconditional love in a hug. We want to capture those moments with the people we love. We know the day will fly by but these photos will bring us right back to when forever started for us.”

It’s always an honor to be a part of such a special day in the lives of any of our couples but Ali and Eric’s family and friends were on a whole other level of awesome! Their wedding will go down as one of the greats for us!
