Dani & Kyle’s Elberta Life Saving Station Wedding Photography was on a beautiful, calm Northern Michigan day! The theme of the wedding was boho beach. With the venue being the main focus, minimal decor and details were spread throughout the entire day.
The day began with excitement as the girls got ready at the Harbor Lights Resort in Frankfort, Michigan. Dani had a show-stopping Lazaro Sparkle Plaid Tulle A-line wedding dress. After her mom helped her get into her dress, shoes, and jewelry she showed her dearest friends and bridesmaids the final look!
In front of the Harbor Lights Resort is a beautiful view of the Frankfort Harbor and pier where the ceremony took place. Touches of beach glass vases, pampas grass, and a driftwood arbor surrounded the area. The soft palette of peaches, blush, whites, slate blue, and mint looked beautiful with the colors of Lake Michigan.
Dani & Kyle decided not to do a first look and to see each other for the first time as she walked down the aisle at their beach ceremony! With guests seated and Kyle standing by the driftwood arch, Dani made her way towards Kyle! It was such a sweet moment when they locked eyes and Kyle brushed a tear from his face. The sun was shining as Dani & Kyle read their vows in front of friends and family. Once rings were exchanged they shared a kiss in front of the arch.
Have you ever thought of having a boat at your wedding?! After the ceremony, Dani & Kyle had a beautiful sailboat take them from Frankfort to Elberta where the reception was taking place. Let me tell you…this made for some EPIC photographs! As the sailboat approached the shore all of the guests enjoying cocktail hour waved at the wedding party from ashore. At cocktail hour guests were enjoying the signature cocktails, a TC Old Fashioned, and a Gin Sling Cocktail. The Elberta Life Saving Station has a great deck and outdoor area for everyone to mingle.
Walking up to the reception tent I could see it surrounded by greenery at the entrance with a custom seating chart. The tables had mercury glass centerpieces with tealights, hand-dyed table runners, slate blue napkins with printed menus, and some mismatched colored taper candles. The thoughtful combination of decor continued the boho theme!
After guests found their seats Dani & Kyle entered the tent! Heartfelt speeches were made and a delicious dinner was had. As the sun was beginning to set we snuck away to Elberta Beach to capture some portraits. If you are getting married make sure you allow time for this during your day! We promise you, you won’t regret it! The golden hour makes for the most beautiful light and is a special time for any couple to reflect on the day before the party starts!
