Traverse City Michigan Engagement Photography | Lauren & Luke

This is an engaged couple at a marina in Traverse City, Michigan

Lauren & Luke’s Traverse City Michigan Engagement Photography was on a beautiful, sunny evening. Downtown Traverse City is in a great location right across from Grand Traverse Bay and offers amazing shopping, food, and drinks! In the summer the town is buzzing with festivals, tourists, and locals. Some of the biggest events of the summer are the National Cherry Festival and the Film Festival!

We started out Lauren & Luke’s session by exploring areas around The Village at Grand Traverse Commons, if you haven’t been to this area, it’s worth checking out! The buildings in this area were once the Traverse City State Hospital and have been restored over the years. The area now offers many restaurants, shops, tours, and the most amazing hiking trails in the woods!

We walked down some of the trails which offered amazing lighting to capture some very dreamy images. Even though this location was right in town it felt as if we were out in the middle of the woods!

Lauren & Luke love the water so our next stop lead us to the Duncan L Clinch Marina in Downtown Traverse City. Lauren & Luke’s nautical outfits were perfectly coordinated with the backdrop of the Marina and Grand Traverse Bay! The neutral, light colors allowed the beauty of the background to really shine through. 

While the sun was setting we decided to walk out to the end of the pier to utilize the large rocks all around. While taking in the beauty surrounding us a sailboat cruised towards the marina before nightfall. With some good timing, we were able to capture a few final images before the sunset!
